So it's about that time for an update from The Phoenix Philosophy.
We've been up to quite a bit lately. Last week we had the chance to go out to Chicago and play the 5th annual Fall Formal at The Beat Kitchen. Our friends State and Madison graciously invited us out to share the stage with them, The Aesthetic, and The Hayday. I can't put into words how awesome the trip was. So many new friends were made and many good times were had. We plan on updating the blog with a more detailed post on our trip, filled with pictures and silly stories.

One of our new friends from this trip was able to get us played on UCI radio yesterday. SLY Radio played our song, Up In Flames, in their 2 hour slot. We're really excited to have possibly reached some more people that have never heard of us. Our goal is to be back in Chicago again some time next year.

Up In Flames will be hitting the airwaves again in Minneapolis on Sunday. The new mix produced by Wally J of Crash Anthem/Skywind will be featured on Loud and Local on 93X in the Twin Cities. Be sure to turn in. This will be the debut of the new mix. We're really proud of it and excited for everyone to hear it.

As far as things coming up, we've got some things in the works to wrap up the year. On December 11th, we're playing 400 Bar with Crash Anthem, Painkiller Hotel, Escape Siren, and Ekoflo. Tickets for this show are still available but are scarce. Contact us for a ticket for just $5. Tickets will still be available at the door for $8, but we want to save you $3, so pick one up from us. We're hoping to have new photos, new music, a new website, and new everything soon, so stay tuned for further announcements.

Hey! Sometime in February (possibly the 5th, real date to be announced soon) We're playing a Tribute Show at The Space in Minnesota with Atlas on Strike and Fight Cunning! Each band plays one of their favorite albums all the way through and the plan for now is for us to do From Here To Infirmary by Alkaline Trio!! So local Shot Memory and Alk3 fans alike come on out and sing along! Not sure what the other bands are covering, I can give that info later too. Also, look our for a Shot Memory/Fight Cunning show at The Beat Coffee House sometime in January as well, and we will be playing new songs soon. Fuck! Hey so we're excited to announce a 12 song full length we are hoping to get recorded by the end of Summer 2011!! These songs are beyond anything we've done before and we hope we can finish it all soon and you all can enjoy it! Look out for a remastered fan favorite as well!!!!!
